As a result of Hurricane Sandy, several changes have been made to the fall product sale calendar.
-
The booth sale calendar has been extended by one week. You may now sell products through Sunday, December 2.
-
The final deposit deadline for troops conducting additional booth sales is now Tuesday, December 4.
-
Initial deposits should still be submitted by Tuesday, November 20.
As your girls deliver products, encourage them to ask customers to make a donation to the Gift of Caring program. Not only will the girls earn money, but products purchased will be delivered to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The Food Bank is stretched thin by its efforts to assist hurricane victims in addition to those in our community already in need. If you have issues delivering nuts and candy to customers, please contact Janet Zelenak, director of product sales, (732) 938-5454, ext. 120.
The 2012 Fall Product Sale Program is a great opportunity for your Girl Scout to learn valuable teamwork, goal-setting and confidence-building skills.
All Girl Scout Grade Levels, Daisies through Ambassadors, may participate. It is a fun, easy way for Girl Scouts to earn money at the beginning of the membership year. This money can be used to fund Girl Scout programs and activities throughout the year. The sale is intended to reach family, friends, teachers and neighbors to help support Girl Scouts and Girl Scouting in the community.
